Friends of the Lewis County Public Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable group of volunteers formed to support Lewis County Public Library and Archives of Hohenwald, TN. Focused on community development through library development, our members are involved in fund-raising activities, advocacy, volunteerism, public awareness campaigns, & literacy programs. We are currently supporting a vital expansion and renovation project to double the size of our library planned for December 2026.

Friends of the Library News

Saturday, May 3rd we will host Hohenwald Springfest at Lewis County Memorial Park. A variety of vendors, foods, music, and activities planned from 9am to 9pm under the new pavilion and by the playground. More information and vendor signups available on our Springfest page.
A long awaited performance by Music City Swing is now scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd at 7pm at Lewis County Memorial Park as a finale for Hohenwald Springfest.

We are overjoyed to share that our library is the recipient of state grants that will provide the funding needed to expand and renovate the Lewis County Public Library and Archives!!! We are so very grateful to everyone that has donated, volunteered time, and advocated over the years for this much-needed construction project to serve our community.

Many of our wonderful members inside our "Booktique" used book store inside the Lewis County Welcome Center Depot.
